IWMA - International Wire & Machinery Association

IWMA LATEST NEWS

Interwire 2009, Cleveland, USA, 27-30 April 2009

The IWMA will again be offering its full support to members at next year’s Interwire with an information booth and a range of facilities.  Organised by USA association the Wire Association International, inc (WAI) it will take place in the same venue as the 2007 exhibition, the IX Center, close to John Hopkins International Airport. The IWMA booth will be positioned on the same block as last year.

According to the WAI Interwire 2007 recorded a 14% increase in visitor numbers from the previous event and involved 507 exhibitors against 487 in 2005.  The largest and longest running wire and cable event in the Americas will be joined once again by the International Fastener Exposition.  As always Interwire 2009 will feature an extensive programme of technical seminars and workshops.

Word has reached the IWMA that after the 2009 it is likely that the 2011 edition will move back to Atlanta, the exhibition’s former home for many years, with an intention thereafter to alternate the venue every two years between locations in the north and then the south of the United States. Other venues believed to be under consideration include Indianapolis and Chicago.
