wire Düsseldorf 2018 - IWMA Travel Awards

The IWMA considers that one of its primary functions is to promote education and growth in our industry.  Through the IWMA Educational Trust Fund, we actively encourage the gaining of new skills and experience for future rising stars.  With that in mind, we are pleased to announce that it will once again offer the John C Hogg Travel Award Scheme for wire 2018.

wire 2018, the world’s largest exhibition for the wire and cable industry, will be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 16 – 20 April and the IWMA is offering students, apprentices and trainees engaged in the wire industry an opportunity to visit the event.

The Award provides the following benefits:

  • Three night’s accommodation including breakfast at the Novotel Düsseldorf City West Hotel - check in Monday 16 – check out Thursday 19 April
  • Financial contribution towards flight costs
    Up to £300 (or € equivalent) to European based applicants
    Up to £750 (or $ equivalent) to applicants from the rest of the world
  • Free entry to wire 2018
    Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 April
  • Free wire 2018 exhibition catalogue
  • Wire 2018 exhibition Tour 
    Tuesday 17 April
  • IWMA Industry Evening Event
    Tuesday 17 April
  • Presentation by IWMA and Messe Düsseldorf GmbH 
    Wednesday 18 April on IWMA stand 

All applicants for the award scheme must be recommended or sponsored by a member of the IWMA.

Application forms are available from the IWMA office.

Deadline for applications is Friday 15th December 2017.
